Swimmers/Divers finish in 15th

Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished in 15th place in the North Carolina 4A Eastern Regional Swimming and Diving Championships held this weekend. This was an exciting, fast meet with the Tri-Nine schools dominating the women's races and the CAP VIII dominating the men's races. The top 16 finishers scored for their schools and the top 8 go to the state championships next weekend in Cary. The men's Medley Relay team tied for 8th place with Apex, so at the end of the meet, when almost everyone had gone home, they had a swim-off to determine which team would advance to the state chamionships. The CAPS took a second off their time from 4 hours earlier, but were out touched by Apex.
Scoring points for the CAPS were:
Men's 200 Medley Relay - 8th place tie - Petch Lamson, Peter Daniel, Will Close, and Brandon Hodnett.
Women's 200 freestyle relay - 7th - Elisabeth Holmes, Rachel Shaw, Adaira Brewer, and Kelsey Moore
Men's 400 freestyle relay - 9th - Petch Lamson, Alex Haugh, Will Close, Brandon Hodnett
