Broughton Men's Varsity Basketball Team to face last season's 4A ChampionsNew Hanover High School Friday night at 7:00 PM at Holliday gymnasium.

Caps Needs You Friday Night!

Congratulations to all Caps' supporters who helped Broughton make it through the first phase of the Under Armour Challenge to win $140,000 worth of uniforms and equipment!  Now we're on to phase 2 - an eight school playoff to win it all!  See this link for details.

For this phase of the competition, we are pitted against Vista Murrieta High in California. Here is their page. Our new challenge from Under Armour is below:
  • THIS IS OUR TOWN - Make a 2 min video that shows us how you can get the entire school, town and community ravenous for a win. Do something epic. Do something legendary. Take it to the streets. Get all Friday Night Lights on us. Get your community even more hyped up about your teams. Show how they “Protect This House.” The more passion, the more pride, the better chance your school has of moving to the next round. So give it all you've got—and then give some more.

This is what we're going to do FRIDAY,  Nov 30:
Meet in the Pit Friday at 6 PM.  We will film our march up the strip towards the gym with the drum-line! We are showing community support for our school so EVERYONE - parents, friends, siblings come help us film a CROWD marching to the game!

* Men's basketball home opener against defending State Champions, New Hanover High, at 7 PM in Holliday Gym!
If you can get there earlier, the Lady Caps game begins at 5:30pm!

Maggie Kane, Adrienne Overcash, Olivia King, and Kara Summerford finished the season undefeated in singles.

Led by Coach Laura Davidson and Coach Frank, the team completed a perfect season at 24-0. Here we go, Caps!

Broughton's Under Armour Contest Details

You may have seen or heard about the Under Armour's "Finding Undeniable" Program.

It is a big opportunity for Broughton, so please read this and share with others!
  1. Under Armour is sponsoring a contest for high schools.
  2. The winner of the contest gets $142,000 worth of uniforms and equipment.
  3. The first round of competition will end on November 20th, at 3:00pm EST.
Here’s how the contest works – Broughton earns points by completing challenges and gaining Supporters. Points are awarded for Supporters.  So spreading the word across the school, across the community, with alumni, parents and friends is crucial to success.

To begin supporting Broughton, go to this link and click the “Support” button. *You must have Facebook to do this, so if your not a Facebook member, now is the time to join.*

By clicking the "Support" button on this link, you’ll not only gain a point for that school, you also become a registered supporter. As a registered supporter you’ll be able to participate in Supporters’ challenges and start earning for your school.

Broughton’s ranking will be determined by points earned from completing challenges, as well as points earned through gaining Supporters and Supporters challenges.  As of Friday, Nov 2,  Broughton has a score of 55,849 with only 747 supporters and in 5th place.  The top 4 schools are guaranteed a spot in the second phase of the competition!
