CAPS WOMEN DRAW WITH HUSKIES 1-1
Broughton women's soccer team returned from Spring Break and returned to the pitch Tuesday evening at host Heritage High School.  The Huskies were very physical from the opening whistle often grabbing and shoving Caps players throughout the match.  Sophomore Emma Willard opened the scoring her third goal of the 2014 campaign in the tenth minute.  Junior goalkeeper Allie Cutler, who recently committed to play soccer for the Furman Paladins, kept Heritage off the scoreboard with several athletic saves allowing the Caps to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.  Unfortunately, that would not last as the Huskies equalized two minutes into the second half.  The game continued to be physical, but neither side was able to find the game winner.  The teams continued the battle for two ten minute overtime periods much to the chagrin of several girls who had tickets to last night's Miley Cyrus concert, but could not put the ball into the old onion bag and the Cap 8 contest ended in a draw.  The Caps return to action Thursday night when they host Wake Forest High School at 4:30 and 6:30.
