PRIDE DEFEATS CAPS IN CAP 8 CONTEST
On Tuesday night the 8th ranked Leesville Road High School Pride visited Broughton for a women's Cap 8 soccer match.  Eight minutes into the contest the Pride showed why they are ranked when senior Mary Kate Bowers opened the scoring.  Bowers, who will play college soccer next year at the College of Charleston, was not finished and found the back of the net for her second goal on the night in the twenty-third minute.  The Pride took the 2-0 lead into halftime.  The Caps fought back hard in the second period and sophomore Daisy King scored her first goal of the season when she chested a Lily Schneider corner-kick past the Leesville 'keeper.  Unfortunately, Broughton could not Capitalize off the momentum from the goal and the Pride scored their third and final goal of the night in the seventy-sixth minute of play.  Broughton drops to 4-4-1 and 3-3-1 in the Cap 8 and travel to 13th ranked Millbrook High School Wednesday evening for another important conference contest with the Wildcats.
