Congratulations
to the men’s swimming and diving team for finishing 20th in the 4A
State Championships held yesterday. Holt
Gray started things off with a new school record of 465.90 and a 6th
place finish in diving. Colter Carman
then set a new school record in the 200 free with a 1:44.26 as he finished 11th. Colter then added a new record in the 500
free of 4:33.33 as he finished 3rd.
Colter finished his rewriting of the BHS record book as he, along with
Smith Moran, Jack Messenger, and Bancks Holmes took down the oldest record in
the book, the 400 free relay, with a time of 3:19.85. This beat the record from 1987 set by Victor
Bonito, Chris Whitaker, Eric Teague, and Steve Pickard. Jack also swam the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke, finishing 18th in both.
Way to go guys!
