Lady Caps Wipe Wildcats

The Broughton Lady Caps stood their ground to win their home opener against the Millbrook Lady Wildcat tennis team, 7-2. Sophomore Becket Waters, playing the number one court, lost a heartbreaker to Brianna Taranto 6-2, 4-6, 0-1 (8-10) while Broughton claimed the remaining courts. Waters and doubles partner Meg Hardesty dropped their doubles court to Taranto and Shea Cirillo, 7-9 while seniors Hunter Cox and Shields Bennett dominated their opponents 8-0 on the number two doubles court. Broughton is now 1-1 overall and in the Cap 8 conference. The Lady Caps travel to rival Sanderson on Tuesday, August 30 and play out of conference on Wednesday, August 31 traveling to East Chapel Hill. Come out and support the Lady Caps next week!
