Caps Golf Continues Winning Ways at Lonnie Poole

The Caps won their fifth straight Cap 8 Conference match of the year today at Lonnie Poole.

Playing the difficult back nine at NC State's Lonnie Poole Golf Course, the Caps carded an overall score of 144 (even par for the round) to best second place Leesville by 17 shots and third place Enloe by 22 shots.  The highlight of the day was a chip in eagle by Junior Patrick Carlin on his last hole of the day. Patrick also earned medalist honors for the event. 

The top four scores that counted for the Caps included:

Patrick Carlin (Junior)         33    ( 3 under par)
Peter Fountain (Freshman)  36    (even)
Jimbo Stanley (Senior)        37    (one over)
Connor Jones (Junior)         38    (two over)

Sophomore Biggs Hawley also carded a solid 39.

The Caps return to action on Thursday in a Cap 8 match to be held at Carolina Country Club.
