Caps Remain Undefeated

Carol Seigler, Margaret Anne Warner, and Sydney Russell score 13 points combined
The Broughton Girls' Lacrosse team overwhelmed the Heritage Huskies 18-4 at home Wednesday afternoon, to remain undefeated for the season.
The Huskies, a team clearly improved over last year, took an early 1-0 lead.  After 15 minutes of play, the score was tied at 2-2.  From that point, the Caps reeled off 6 straight goals.  During that run, Sydney Russell scored three times within one minute to seal the win.
Broughton's defense was again outstanding.  Led by Marcy Waters, Anneka Pace, Greer Eckard, Carson Harvey and Reed Proctor, the defense has only allowed eight goals in four games this season.  Reed Proctor had an assist against the Huskies.
On offense, the Caps were led by Carol Seigler with five goals, Margaret Anne Warner and Sydney Russell with four each, EJ Fuller and Addie Camak with two each, and Bailey Burgess with one.
The Caps continue conference play on Friday at Enloe at 6 p.m., and then travel to Charlotte Saturday for a noon contest with out of conference opponent Myers Park.
